Completed by Bill Putnam in 1958, Studio B is one of the most celebrated rooms in the recording world. From Nancy Sinatra’s “These Boots Were Made for Walking” to Radiohead’s “Hail to the Thief” and from Green Day’s “American Idiot” to Beck’s Grammy-winning “Morning Phase”, Studio B is a favorite of some of the world’s biggest artists, producers and engineers.

Control Room

The centerpiece of the control room is a custom built Neve 68 input 8068/8088 console with 40 original, vintage API 550a EQ’s and 56 Neve 31102 EQ’s.

Live Room

From the intimate to the thunderous, the live room in Studio B is incredibly flexible with exceptional drum tracking capabilities. With no parallel surfaces, the room is very even and sonically pleasing. There’s no other way to put it – things just sound better in this room. Featuring 23’ high ceilings, it is large enough to hold a 40-piece orchestra and is supplemented by a large iso and two smaller iso’s, making this an extremely functional space. This, coupled with its exceptional acoustic qualities, makes Studio B one of the best spaces for any type of recording. In addition, Studio B comes with a phenomenal Yamaha C7 Grand Piano, Hammond B3 organ with Leslie cabinet and, of course, access to our amazing echo chambers.
