Returning to her musical roots after more than a decade, singer/songwriter Mandy Moore recorded her new album, “Silver Landings,” at United Recording.

The album, produced by Mike Viola, features her husband Taylor Goldsmith (guitar), Davey Faraghar (bass), Griff Goldsmith (drums), and Sean Douglas, (producer/songwriter). According to Moore, the first single, “Save A Little For Yourself,” is the other half of a love song that “we don’t always talk about or acknowledge.”

She added, “No one’s playing to a click track. It’s all happening live on the floor, which gives everything a magic and spontaneity that’s so different from what I’ve done on any other record. I wanted to make a very California-sounding record that you could listen to driving up and down the Pacific Coast Highway on a beautiful weekend day.”

An Emmy-, Grammy- and Golden Globe-nominated actress, singer and songwriter, Moore rose to fame in 1999 after her platinum-selling debut album, “So Real.” In 2002, she starred in the film adaptation of Nicholas Sparks’ “A Walk to Remember,” earning an MTV Movie Award for Breakthrough Female Performance.

Over the next decade, Moore appeared in a dozen films and released several albums. Since 2016, she’s starred on the critically-acclaimed NBC series, “This Is Us,” earning Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for her role as matriarch Rebecca Pearson.

“Silver Landings” was released on March 6 via Verve Forecast Records, with a North American tour starting on March 20.
