Hollywood, CA, August 2021 – Five-time Grammy Award-winner Keb’ Mo’ and longtime collaborator and recording engineer Ross Hogarth have returned after 23 years to United Recording.
In 1998, Keb’ Mo’ and Hogarth were working on Slow Down for 550 Records, which earned the artist his second Grammy Award. This year, Keb’ Mo’ returned with Hogarth to track a new version of the B Positive TV show theme song, which Keb’ Mo’ wrote with the show’s executive producer Chuck Lorre (The Big Bang Theory, The Kominsky Method). In the new version recently tracked at United Recording, series star Annaleigh Ashford sings the lead. The series airs Thursday nights on CBS.
“United Recording is my home away from home,” says recording engineer/producer Ross Hogarth. “It’s such a pleasure to return to these iconic rooms originally designed and built by Bill Putnam in the 50s, and sonically maintained to this day with the same extraordinary acoustics.”
The CBS comedy was created by Marco Pennette (Desperate Housewives, Ugly Betty) and stars Thomas Middleditch, Annaleigh Ashford, Kether Donohue, Sara Rue, Izzy G and Terrence Terrell. The series revolves around a therapist and newly divorced dad who is faced with finding a kidney donor when he runs into a rough-around-the-edges woman from his past who volunteers her own.
