Banjoist Noam Pikelny invited comedian/banjoist Steve Martin to make a guest appearance on his second solo album, recording in Studio A. Pikelny, a member of the Bluegrass band Punch Brothers, was the recipient of the 2010 Steve Martin Prize for Excellence in Banjo and Bluegrass.
