Nearly two years after their acclaimed debut and triumphant U.S. tour, English punk band COUNTERFEIT. recently recorded new material for their soon-to-be-released sophomore album at United Recording.

Hailing from London, England, the band is comprised of lead vocalist and guitarist Jamie Campbell Bower, guitarists Tristan Marmont and Sam Bower, bassist Roland Johnson and drummer James Craig. In addition to his work as a musician, Jamie Campbell Bower is an actor who has starred in several motion pictures and television shows.

“This band has phenomenal talent and powerful stage presence,” said Rob Cavallo, a three-time, Grammy award-winning producer for artists such as Green Day, Kid Rock and Phil Collins. “They have an extremely loyal fan base and Jamie’s acting career certainly adds a level of excitement to their live shows.”

For their latest project, COUNTERFEIT. went into seclusion at an English country house for an immersive songwriting experience. Upon completion, they enlisted Cavallo, engineer Doug McKean and United Recording’s staff engineer Wesley Seidman to record several songs in Studio B.

“I’ve been so fortunate to have a lot of best-selling records come out of these studios, and through the years the vibe has remained consistently top notch, thanks to the incomparable sound and gear among other factors,” said Cavallo. “This is by far my favorite studio.”

This August, COUNTERFEIT. will open the main stage at the Reading & Leeds festivals in England. In addition, Bower recently announced that he will star in HBO’s “Game of Thrones” prequel. Filming is scheduled to begin this summer.
